Shock. Horror. Someone tells the truth

To the horror of the architects of the Iraq war, a military leader has spoken the truth.

The Australian

TONY Blair’s foreign policy was in tatters last night after the head of the Army said that the continued presence of British troops in Iraq was responsible for bloodshed at home and abroad.

It is bleedingly obvious to the rest of us but it appears the world ‘leaders’ who forced us into this catastrophe are now being exposed by the poor sods they have ordered to do their dirty work. It is an extraordinary statement from the head of the army in the UK, but it confirms what was clear would happen from the very beginning, back in 2002 and 2003 when it first became clear that Bush, Blair and Howard wanted to ‘liberate’ Iraq.

Some very brave words from the General. But it is clear that there is no way out of the mess. Withdrawing troops is the only way to stop one major cause of bloodshed. Sadly it won’t stop the horrendous cycle of violence that has been wrought on the people of Iraq by the simpletons devising US foreign policy.
