Mozilla Firefox 2 is on the way

Firefox 2 is on the way. You can check out a Beta release at their site below. It seems some of the new features are gleaned from the current version’s most popular extensions, such as a ‘close’ button on every tab that’s open, a closed tabs list, and crash recovery.

That’s all good news. It will take a while for your favourite extensions to be updated for the new version, so if you really rely on them, I wouldn’t be installing the Beta just yet.

But the good news is it can’t be too far off…

Mozilla Firefox 2 Beta 2 Release Notes

Firefox 2 Beta 2 is a developer preview release of our next generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Firefox 2 Beta 2 is intended for Web application developers and our testing community. Current users of Firefox 1.x should not use Firefox 2 Beta 2 and expect all of their extensions and plugins to work properly.
